A dreadful agony in his side: cold steel mixing with the fiery blood of a passionate warrior. Sweat poured down his forehead. Maltheus was exhausted, and it was all he could do to parry that despicable knave's next swing. How unglorious and unbecoming a death for such a fine lord and swordsman! But, alas, he knew his end was near. Not wanting to depart this world without leaving behind a legacy, he shook off his gauntlets and snatched up his iPhone. Hopefully he would be able tweet a short goodbye to his family and kin back at Château de Annizo. But to be honest, he didn't think he'd get past the password screen.
Unless... what was that noise?!

Date: 2009-10-16 03:36 am (UTC)Maltheus had just finished entering the last digit in the password lock screen when Lulu, of all people, jumped down onto his back from out of nowhere! His attacker, just as surprised to encounter Lulu as the grey haired knight, nearly dropped his sword midswing. Maltheus grinned. So, maybe Lulu wasn't such a pest after all. Perhaps he would even extend an offer for her to join his harem. But, that could wait.
He threw his gauntlets in Kedrick's face and made a beeline towards the dungeon staircase. He had a princess to rescue, after all. Perhaps he should send her a text mentioning he was on his way.
Wait, where was his phone? He paused at the top of the stairway, frantically patting down all his pockets. He could always email her with his netbook, but he didn't have time for that. Kedrick would be chasing him down any second!
Oh, Lulu was so going to have it in for her when he got back home.
